On behalf of my party, we are delighted to claim victory for our hard work, focus and dedication in this election. I thank the Almighty God for our triumph at the polls, against all odds.

4th day’s Summary of Daddy GO’s Message

Text:  Exodus 8 v 1

One of the philosophers of the ancient days says the greatest problem of victory is what to do with it.

After you have become victorious, what next?  After freedom, after release, after jubilee, after restoration what next?

Many people plan for wedding; they even plan for honey moon without planning for marital life. When the honey moon is over what next?

No plan, husband and wife returns from honey moon and darling say “where is my breakfast?” and the wife says breakfast?

So many girls plan for their wedding, not knowing that after the honeymoon the wife is supposed to wake up one hour before the husband to prepare breakfast.

Many people celebrate graduation, then what next? what if I don’t get a job, what do I do then? Many people plan for house dedication but they don’t plan for maintenance. I remembered when I bought my first car; my friend says congratulation but from now on you have to put your eye on the oil gauge.

Brethren after jubilee what next? After healing what next? Because God is going to heal you during this convention, after breakthrough what next?

There are categories of bondage, battles that people fight; there is physical bondage Luke 13 and in 2 king 5 v 1.

Naaman was famous and rich but Naaman was a leper.

Then there is material bondage according to 2king 4 v 1 -7

Then we can have physical and material bondage according to Mark 5 v 25-34.

Then there is spiritual bondage, an example is Mary Magdalene according to Luke 8 v 1 -3. Then we have a case where all three types of bondage are together according to Mark 5 v 1 -15. It tells us about the mad man of Gedaren who was possessed by 6000 demons.

But the good news tonight, is that victory is possible, I want to go a step further to announce that victory is on your way because the God of Jubilee who is the God of Redeemed Christian Church of God is here tonight.

And according to Psalm 24 v 7-10 He can set you free from any form of bondage.

Victory has issues, and I will just mention may be just two. The first issue with victory is that the devil loves to attack immediately after a victory, in 1 Samuel 17 v 34 – 37 David said I was watching my father’s flock, a lion came and grabbed one of the flock, I grabbed it and smote it.

You thought the devil will let him be, immediately  the bear came and he also smote it then the devil says if you can handle animal, we will give you Goliath and by God’s grace he killed him.

Then the devil arranged some women and they composed an impromptu song that made him have a greater enemy than he has ever have; his father in law.

The most dangerous time is immediately after a victory, I know this and that is why I am always careful of celebrations. I can give you several examples; take Gideon after one victory comes another attack that is one issue.

But the issue they asked me to speak on tonight is what do I do with victory, when am healed what do I do next,

John5 v 2 -14 . If don’t want to say goodbye to sin ask God to leave you alone, be as you are because if you do and you are still in sin, a greater sickness will come.

The first thing to do after a victory is to thank God Exodus 15 v 1 -11, Luke 8 v 1-3, ask the mad man of Garasene Mark 5 v 18 -20 after his healing he came to Jesus and say I will go with you everywhere you Go, and Jesus said I have an assignment for you, “go and tell others “and he won an entire city for God.

If you are deliver and you don’t tell other about it the bible says the demon that has gone out will come back with more dangerous demons. Your deliverance will be permanent.

Don’t be like Samson who was brought bound to his external enemy but the Almighty God rose and fought his battle for him, but what did he do ? John 16 v 1-3 he just got up and went to a harlot’s house.

What do I do with victory? It is a good thing to prosper but Proverbs 1 v 32 says the prosperity of fools will destroy them. When you look at Exodus 12 v 35-36 the Bible tells us that when the children of Israel were leaving Egypt on that great night of deliverance, they went to the Egyptians and collected the salary that their father had not received in one hundred years they collected it in one night. What did they do with it?

Exodus 32 v 1 -6 they went to Aaron and said they want a God they can see, and Aaron asked them to bring all their gold and it was used to mould a golden image for them.

I have told you stories of those who were strong Christian until the Lord prospered them. I know those of us who use to fast and pray, because it was easy to fast then because there isn’t much anyway. Then prosperity came… the prosperity that will take you away from the almighty God, will never give it to you.

Zachariah tells us what to use the prosperity for, we are to build churches with prosperity, the word of God says you can have prosperity and enjoy it for the rest of your life according to Job 36 v 11.

What are you to do with victory? 1Sam 2 V 1 -2 After David defeated Goliath and king Saul attacked him, he ran to the cave of Adullam and Vagabonds gather themselves to him and he turned them to mighty men so that by the time we get 2Sam 23 V 8, God wants you to tell people about God, God wants to prosper you so
that you can open your house up for house fellowship.

The Almighty God wants to prosper you so you can  sponsor television program.

Now that you know what to do with victory, you can now demand from Pharaoh. i.e whatever represent Pharaoh in your life, demons, barrens, failure, whatever did not allow you to go higher, you can now say to  Pharaoh , hear the word of the Lord, let me go!

One of the things I like about the almighty God is that whenHhe arises to fight for you, He can do a very good job Exodus 4 v 22 v 23.

God will give you victory tonight, provided you will use it for winning souls, for praising God, for making disciple, for giving your house for house fellowships

Open Heavens Devotional: VICTORY DEVOURERS – Sunday, July 22, 2012

By Pastor E.A. Adeboye

Memorise: Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. Romans 13:2

Read: Judges 14:1-3

It is one thing to be victorious but another thing to retain the victory. Victory not retained turns a victor into a victim. In order to keep your victory and walk in it, it is very crucial to learn from those who lost their victory, the reasons why their victory was lost. May you retain your victory in Jesus name.

One Bible character who got victory over his enemies was Samson. He knew what it meant to be victorious because of the mighty presence of the Holy Spirit upon him, yet he died in the prison of his enemies. What rubbished his victory? In Judges 14:1-3, Samson failed to listen to his parents. He felt they were too old fashioned in their views. He could not be under the control or authority of anyone. The elders may not be as educated as you are, but there is something they know that has kept them victorious which you may not know with all your education. Anyone who cannot submit to authority will most likely lose the victory he or she has received. There are some wives who cannot submit to the authority of their husbands because they have a better job or earn better income than them. Sorry, you may not be able to retain your victory! When the Lord says you should submit, He did not exclude your position or income. A minister who cannot be controlled, instructed or corrected by his or her pastor will surely lose his or her victory.

Another reason Samson lost his victory was because he was unequally yoked together with a Philistine in marriage. Brother, of all the sisters in the Kingdom, you could not find one to marry except a lady of another faith? By that marriage, you have automatically become a loser, a big time loser. Are you unequally yoked with an unbeliever in business? Separate today! Are you heading for the altar to wed an unbeliever? Break that relationship now before you end up in your enemy’s prison. In addition, Samson was not circumspect enough to know who to tell what. He opened his mouth and revealed his secrets to his enemy and they enslaved him. What are you telling people about yourself? Do you know who your enemies are? Samson was impatient and self-willed, not caring about God’s will and he was very unthankful. In whatever form any of these is seen in your life, prayerfully expunge them today so that your victory will not be eaten up.

Father, today by your mercy, uproot every victory devourer in my life.

Open Heavens Devotional: VICTORY: HOW PERMANENT? – Sunday, July 15, 2012

By Pastor E.A. Adeboye

Memorise: O SING unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm hath gotten him the victory. Psalms 98:1

Read: Joshua 7:1-6

Every victory God gives to you can be retained or lost depending on several factors. Many people know how to obtain victory but not how to keep them. It is better to continue in defeat than to have victory and return to defeat due to the inability to keep it. After the Israelites crossed the Red sea, Moses immediately composed a song of praise and thanksgiving that they sang repeatedly (Exodus 15:1-21). After that song of praise, every effort to cause them to return to Egypt failed; their victory was permanent. Anyone who does not know how to be grateful to God may never enjoy permanent victories. Are you grateful to God for what He has done for you?

In Joshua 7 & 8, God gave the Israelites under Joshua victory which they lost almost immediately but later recovered. Many people once walked in the victory that Christ has given over the flesh, Satan and other enemies but later lost the reality of this victory. Why did Joshua lose his victory? It was because somebody under him tampered with what he should not. This simply tells us that your victory could be eroded by the misdemeanour of a close associate. A family can lose their victory because of disobedient child. If you doubt this, ask Eli. This is why parents must train their children well. Train, not just teach. Parents should act as coaches, mentors and guides to their children in order to maintain family victories. Thank God Joshua’s loss was not permanent because he asked God the cause of the loss and what to do, and did as instructed. Have you lost a victory? Ask God what you can do to have it back and do so promptly. If you know who is stealing in church, expose the fellow. Doing this not only helps that individual but also the church. Achan’s theft not only affected him but the entire nation. Are you a pastor or minister yet secretly fornicating? You are negatively affecting your church and bringing an evil cloud over the congregation. As a member of the church, if you know of fornicating minister, or worker, report the fellow to your pastor as a way of helping all concerned.

Thanksgiiving is the glue that helps to firmly attach your blessings to you. Without it, your blessing may be lost.

Open Heavens Devotional: VICTORY OVER ENEMIES – Thursday 11 August 2011

By Pastor E.A. Adeboye

MEMORIZE: “He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.” (Ps. 18:48).

READ: Judges 15:9-15

In today’s reading, after Samson’s relatives were threatened by the Philistines, out of fear, they bound and delivered him to their enemies. He could not harm his relatives but sheepishly had to submit to their evil plot. After he was delivered to the enemies, the Philistines rejoiced and celebrated the capture. God heard and saw the rejoicing of the enemies and He arose by His Spirit and things took a different turn. From this passage, it is obvious that the toughest enemy to deal with is the enemy within. Internal enemies include your flesh, personal desires, habits, character flaws and your relatives. Samson was incapacitated when his folks were handing him over to the external enemies. Often times, the external enemies cannot make inroads except they have the backing of the internal enemies. Samson’s relatives handed him over to the Philistines. Some internal enemies, people very close to you, may be too willing to hand you over to your external enemies for whatever reasons. But if God is on your side, such plans shall fail. Every internal enemy, plotting your downfall, destruction or overthrow, shall be brought to nothing.

When Joseph’s envious brothers saw him coming, they resolved there and then to kill him so that his dream could perish. But because God was with him, they could neither kill him nor his dream. So, when they sold him into slavery, little did they know that they were giving him a free ride into the land where his dreams would be realized. Every plot to kill your dream shall fail. Anyone who wants you dead shall go on your behalf. Every attempt to push you far away from your goal shall draw you much closer to it in Jesus name. However, when the enemies are at work, it would appear that God is unaware. No! He is not! He may just be silent. While Samson was being brought down from the mountain, God was silent. He gave them room to do whatever they wanted before He arose. Psalm 2:15 says when people gather to plan against you, God will laugh at them and arise on your behalf. This season, the Lord shall arise over your matter. He shall unseat every internal and external enemy and deliver you the victory. It is your season of victory.

Joseph’s brothers were not after Joseph but after his life’s dream. Unknown to them, had they succeeded in killing his dream, they might not have survived the famine. Don’t be a dream killer.
