Memorise: “With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.” (Psalm 91:16).
Read: Psalm 91:11-16
The word of God is forever settled. The only way to live and fulfil destiny is to act on the written and spoken word of God. The Word of God is the only truth available for the deliverance of man. If you have His word, your life will definitely bless your world. Anyone living in ignorance of the word of God is dead while he lives. The first deliverance you need is to be delivered from ignorance of what God is saying about your life. If you miss what he says about you, you have missed what it takes to be on earth and that’s more dangerous than physical death.
“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.” (Psalm 118:17).
The only reason God is keeping you is because you are created to proclaim His goodness on earth. Your sole purpose on earth is to give God pleasure. You are not here to pressurise God with your needs and what you lack. You are alive today because there are yet so many purposes of God that you must fulfil. Who said you will not live long? Who is that strong man tormenting your life and trying to frustrate God’s grace over your life? Such a one is ignorant of the counsel of God for you. You are here for a purpose and you will fulfil that purpose. Once you identify with the Lord in spirit and in truth, your longevity is secured and your days on earth shall be gloriously lived.
This is what the Lord says:
“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” (Revelation 1:18).
The Keys are with your God. Therefore fear not! Don’t be afraid of that sickness, the Lord will heal you! Don’t be afraid of the arrows of the wicked they shall do you no harm. The Lord is with you as a mighty and terrible one.
God is keeping you for a glorious reason. Don’t abuse the grace to sleep and wake up. It’s not a function of your health, balanced diet or medications. It’s just because God has you in His plans. “I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.” (Psalm 3:5). You can only die spiritually and physically when you refuse to acknowledge the grace of our Lord upon your life. If you waste His grace, you will be wasted on the earth. When grace is absent, spiritual death will be inevitable.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” (Ephesians 2:8).
If you want to live long, embrace divine grace that brings salvation. If you’ll like to be glad continually on the earth, receive the Lord into your heart by faith, and the grace to live in joy and peace will be released unto you. You can’t be sure of a good and long life if your life is not in the hand of God. Be careful who controls your heart. The owner of your heart equally owns your life. If it’s God who owns your heart, you can go ahead and rejoice and be at peace because With long life will He satisfy you, and show you His salvation. But if your destiny is being controlled by the cares of this life and worldly dictates, you need to run to Jesus for salvation and be ultimately delivered from demonic manipulations and untimely death. God loves you.
Father, please open my eyes to see Your provision for my long and prosperous stay on earth. Don’t allow me to be wasted by sin and the devil. I will live to give You pleasure and not pressure. Thank You Jesus!

Memorise: For with God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37
Read: Luke 1:26-37
Promises determine expectations. For instance, if a father makes a promise of a toy car to his child while leaving for work, the hope and expectation of that child will be based on that promise. You can be sure the child will announce it to his friends at school that day. In addition, promises also define the scope of expectations. A particular child can expect one toy while another child might expect three based on the promise made to them by their respective fathers. In the same vein, we base our expectations of God upon the promises He has given to us. Unlike earthly parents who are limited in resources with which to fulfil their promises, our God is not.
One striking thing about God is that because of His infinite ability, He is able to make incredible promises, yet He is both willing and able to perform them. Human minds find it difficult to believe God, but if only they can appreciate the Personality of God, they will not doubt His ability to do those things that sound impossible. By comparison, it is like a man who owns the ocean, would it be difficult for him to give you a drop of water? I don’t think so. So are all the things that seem impossible with us to our God; it’s like giving you a drop of water from an ocean! Mary is an example of someone that experienced this. God promised that she was going to conceive without copulation and that the result of that uncommon pregnancy was going to save the world. How impossible these sounded! But Mary had enough faith to believe these promises. Naturally, she was just waiting for the day her marriage to Joseph would be consummated and she will have children. But now, her expectations moved from the natural to the supernatural realm of faith. She was not just expecting a baby by sight but expecting the Saviour of the world by faith, without any input from a man. If she ever shared her expectations with friends or relations, they would have asked her to see psychiatrist. Yet God fulfilled His promises to Mary. Has God made you any mind-blowing promise that made you laugh in unbelief? You had better start believing Him today. As incredible as His promises may appear, God is not a clown. He means what He says and so He says only what He means. He will fulfill His promises to you based on your faith. No faith, no fulfillment. Believe Him today!
Identify those seemingly impossible or humanly difficult promises the Lord has given you and profusely thank Him for them. They shall come to pass.

Memorise: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; Hebrews 12:15
Read: Matthew 6:12-15
It is difficult to avoid friction in any society. An African proverb says: The one who says, don’t touch me, will not go to the market, and the one who says, Don’t spill water on me, will not go to fetch water from the local river. As long as you interact with people, misunderstanding is bound to come. No reasonable person will be angry without a cause. It is friction that generates hurt, pain, bitterness and un-forgiveness. When the one you trust disappoints you, it hurts. When people speak evil or lie against you, you will feel pain. As long as you live in a community, somebody must step on your toes. The truth is, offences must come but the problem here is how do you handle them when they occur? For instance, if you are upset by somebody and you allow bitter thoughts, anger, or un-forgiveness, it will affect your heart. If you don’t handle such negative feelings properly, they will affect your relationship with God to an extent that God will no more answer your prayers.
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: Psalms 66:18
But you may ask: Why will God not answer my prayers when I was the one offended? It’s because God is keenly interested in your relationship with your fellow man hence He says in Hebrew 12:14:
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
Jesus further says that if you refuse to forgive your fellow man, your Father in Heaven will also retain your sins against you from that moment. As seen in the memory verse, if you allow bitterness inside you, it will not only trouble you, it will also defile you. In addition, in Matthew 5:23-24, Jesus says if there is a problem in your relationship with your brother, whatever you offer to God will be rejected except you first reconcile with the fellow. You forgive your offenders not because you like to but because you have to; not for their sake but for your sake; not necessarily for their good but for your own good; not because you desire it but because God commands it and obeying God in that aspect will be counted to you as an act of righteousness.
Take some time and list all the people who have offended you. Go to meet them one by one and say to them: Brother, what you did to me really hurt me. I didn’t want to forgive you, but because I love myself so much, I have no choice but to forgive and release you.

Memorise: He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hate. Proverbs 14:17
Read: Proverbs 14:17-18
Apart from pride, another work of flesh you must exert your Christ-given victory over is anger. Pride and anger are related. It is those who feel superior to others that are easily irritated or take offence by what others have done to them. A messenger is not likely to be angry or mad at his boss if the latter insults him. But if the messenger insults his boss, he can be fired. Anger is a vice that has robbed many and will yet rob many more of their blessings. According to Ecclesiastes 7:9, it is only a fool that will allow anger to remain in his bosom because if you will be angry at all, it must not go with you to bed (Ephesians 4:26). However, God expects you to avoid anger because of His classification, an angry fellow belongs to the class of atheists who deny God’s existence (Psalms 14:1). He is also classed with those who pledged but do not redeem their pledges (Ecclesiastes 5:4). God calls all such persons fools. Proverbs 22:24 says you should not make friends with angry people. Moses was a great leader in Israel. Imagine the one God used in breaking a bondage of 430 years from a nation yet because of anger, he could not enter the land of promise he had sacrificed so much for. If anger is a weakness in you, cry to the Lord to deliver you today or else, it can cause you the greatest defeat at the most crucial time of life.
It is difficult to keep your cool or remain under control when angry. At such times, you may speak unadvisedly both to God and man. Remember Job’s wife who asked her husband to curse God and die because she was angry with his state. Anger can make you do things you never planned to do, particularly things you will later regret when you come back to your senses. No matter how successful you are, if you are not able to internally appropriate your victory over the work of your flesh manifesting in anger, it can trigger your failure in life and ministry. The angry believer will remain in the corridors of sin. Are you easily provoked? Do you take offence so easily? If you do, ask God to help you today. Undo any wrong decision(s) taken in your angry state and keep a cool head. It pays
Ask God to uproot the spirit of anger from you today

MEMORIZE: “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you: but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgement.” (1 Cor. 1:10)
READ: 1 Corinthians 1:10-13
If there will be unity in a family, church or a group of people, the role of the leader cannot be over emphasized. A leader should be the unifying force over those he or she leads. In this regard, the leader should ensure his subordinates’ opposing or dissenting views are harmonized in a way as to carry all of them along their common objective for being together in the first place. Unfortunately, some leaders deliberately encourage divisions, by sowing seeds of discord and turning one subordinate against the other. They call it divide and rule ‘strategy’. That is satanic! Some leaders encourage or provide the platform for subordinates to create camps. Not Jesus! As long as Jesus was physically present, He was the rallying point of unity for all His disciples. One day, two brothers – James and John brought their mother to lobby Jesus, so that they would secure the highest positions in Heaven, right beside the Lord Himself (Matt. 20:20-24). When the other disciples heard of it, they were very angry! That move could have broken the twelve into separate camps. But the Lord handled it with wisdom and they remained united without killing the desire of the Zebedees to attain heavenly greatness.
It is very challenging to unite people with diverse backgrounds, goals, interests and understanding. However, it is very easy to cause division. One hallmark of a true leader is that he or she is not easily carried away by comments or selfish actions of the team he or she is leading, as the group goal is uppermost in his or her heart. Another person who could not stand God’s church being broken into camps was Paul. In His days, converts began to break into at least four different camps right in the church at Corinth but with wisdom, Paul resolved this and unified Christ’s church. Are you instrumental to the division of God’s church? You are calling for God’s judgement. Repent and restitute. Go and meet the people you sowed those seeds of discord into and compel them to reverse their rebellious acts. This will be good evidence of your repentance.
A body that is dismembered cannot operate as a whole. A part of the body can never be the whole. Division limits us. Strive for peace and unity

MEMORIZE: “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 7:21).
READ: Matthew 7:21-23
In Revelation 2:16, the Lord told the church in Pergamos that He was going to fight against the Nicolaitanes in their midst – people who tolerate sexual immorality. This attitude of God is consistent with His past dealings with His children. For instance, after God delivered the Israelites from Egypt, most of them still perished in the wilderness without getting to the Promised Land. Not everyone who becomes born again will make it to Heaven in the end. If after being saved, one gets to a point of believing (like the Libertines and Nicolaitanes) that fornication and adultery are not as bad as people say they are, and that, after all, God knows we are weak beings, then it is obvious such a fellow will end up in Hell. After receiving Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you would still be required to decide your eternal destination. Not every member of your church will get to Heaven. Not all ministers or workers will get to Heaven, unless they live a consistently holy life. By God’s grace, my number one goal in life is to make it to Heaven. Where do you want to end?
Some people erroneously think it is enough to be saved. It is not! If you are saved but do not protect your salvation to the end, you might loose it. It is not enough to serve God. A growing number of people today are serving God, or working for God without any personal relationship with Him. If you are working for God but not working with Him, you have no assurance of Heaven. Some people also believe that yesterday’s testimonies, achievements and accomplishments are enough. No, they are not! God does not want you to live in the history of your past but in the reality of your present. If you had a great past but have a horrible present, the latter can erode the goodies of the former. What is Heaven saying about your present reality? If you have nothing to say of God’s dealing with you at the moment, then you have been overtaken by history. Anyone overtaken by history is not sure of making Heaven. Miracles are not also enough to take you to Heaven. A good number of hell’s eternal occupants will be those who count several miracles God did through them. Without holiness no man shall see God. To what extent do you do His will daily?
It is a choice to be saved. It is another choice to make heaven. Both should be upheld.
