Memorise: “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;” (2 Corinthians 5:18).
Read: 2 Corinthians 5:18-21
What you do on the earth is a direct pointer to who you represent, and to your assignment at every given point in time. You can always examine what your roles on earth look like. You are either representing God towards world evangelisation or you are embracing the end time moves of the kingdom of darkness to the destruction of souls in hell.
The ministry of Jesus was all about God’s desire for the salvation of humanity.
“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:3-4).
His anointing was all about doing good to everyone on the earth! He was never found satisfying His own fleshly desires. He was, all through His ministry, moved towards the deliverance, healing, and salvation of humanity. On prosperity, oh yes, He became poor so that you through His poverty might become rich – 2 Corinthians 8:9.
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;” (2 Corinthians 5:18).
Jesus reconciled us back to God. Our relationship with God was re-established through His new testament blood. He didn’t do it for you alone. It was for the whole world and while He was departing, He commissioned you and I to “greater works”. You are the representative of Christ in this present world.
How well do you represent your Jesus? This assignment is major work and should not be tied to ordinary titles of pastor, deacon, priest or bishop. “This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.” (1 Timothy 3:1). You are called to work the works of Him who called you while it’s day, the night cometh…you won’t be able to work again – John 9:4. Are you doing His work at all or you are simply fooling around chasing after mere titles? Do you even know what the assignment is? Can you be truly called a sincere representative of Christ in your immediate local assembly or neighbourhood? What are you doing to reconcile the world back to God. The assignment is clear….make disciples of all nations.
It will take a disciple to make another. What kind of disciple are you? Who are your followers? If they are following you at all, where are you taking them! As a parent, what example are you laying for the children God has put in your care. As a pastor, are you sure you are leading the flock towards God or into mammon worship due to your love for money and the untold gratification of prosperity? As a reader of this devotional, is your lifestyle a representation of the heavenly pattern? Beloved, where do you stand in the ministry of reconciliation?
“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;” (2 Corinthians 5:18).
Mirror your life through His word and make all the necessary adjustments. You were created to be a blessing to your world and not a source of pollution. “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” (James 1:25). Be reconciled to God and take up this assignment of bringing souls back from destruction to the joy of salvation through Christ. Be a blessing to humanity and it shall be well with all you do!
Choose to be a life helper! Be What God wants you to be. Obey the heavenly vision!

Memorise: “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” (Philippians 2:5).
Beloved, your success in life and ministry can only be possible if your body, soul and spirit are in direct cooperation with the word of God. Your mind is the required tool for effective and successful living. This is why it is important you develop your spirit man to take total control of your body and mind.
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” (Philippians 2:5).
Your mortal mind is weak and not always supportive when issues of life arises. That is why it’s always easy to give up in the face of the battles of life. The desire of God for every true believer is that we have the mind of Christ.
The mind of Christ is bold, strong and it’s always undefeated in any battle. It’s important to note that this kind of mind is directly functioning and empowered by the word of God. This makes it difficult for it to be wrongly informed or mislead the fear of the unknown. How far you will go in life is directly proportional to the kind of message your mind receive and the object of control it has.
“For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.” (Galatians 5:17).
Your natural mind needs total renewal if you will function correctly in destiny. The word of God is the only available medicine to get your mind out of fear, deceit, failure and the challenges of life. You can only see solutions through the Word of God! Fear comes by hearing and hear the words of men. Faith is built on the word of God. Your mind cannot embrace the expected victory and success if not totally renewed by God.
If you have the mind of Christ, you will easily see into the realm of the Spirit the provision of God for you in the redemption. You will be positive about your goals and dreams. You cannot have the mind of Christ and not be sure that your future is bright. Regardless of the economic situation of your nation and the world at large, your mind once linked with that of Christ enables you to hear the sound of abundance of rain like Elijah! You need to train up your mind to think the way the word of God says you should think regardless of your feelings.
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8).
The remaining days of this year are too much to get your victories and miracles delivered provided you have a renewed mind set. Ask God to renew your mind through His Word!

Memorise: Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 1 John 3:7
Read: 1 John 3:1-10
The call to salvation is a call to holiness. After you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour, it does not end there; the journey to Heaven has only just begun. Before you were saved, you manifested the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21). But now that you have encountered Jesus Christ at salvation, the fruit of the Spirit is expected from you (Galatians 5:22-23). Every attempt at righteousness before your salvation was equal to self-righteousness which is as filthy rags to God (Isaiah 64:6); hence, Paul says his self-righteousness no longer counts but the righteousness by faith in Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:9). God has not only saved us and given us the gift of righteousness, He also expects us to live a life in agreement with His standard. Today, some people think that it is just enough to be born again and that nothing else is required. No! It is not enough! The truth is your new birth gives you the platform on which to build on, having secured God’s righteousness through your faith in Christ Jesus.
We are called to be like our Saviour Jesus Christ. In 1 John 2:1, Jesus is called the righteous, and verse 29 says:
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
This means that the fruit of righteousness that you bear will be used to determine whether you are born of God or not. 1 John 3:7 says:
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
God is not saying you should be holier than Jesus. Even Jesus says it is enough for a servant to be like his master (Luke 6:40). If God expected works of righteousness from Jesus, He expects the same from you. If you look at the letters the Lord wrote to the churches in Revelation 2 and 3, you will notice that He kept repeating that those who will qualify for those wonderful rewards are only the believers who overcome as He also overcame. In every point Jesus overcame, you too should, because He is our standard. Every act of righteousness He manifested, you too should. You must live a life that manifests the victory Christ has given you over the flesh, Satan and the world. You must allow Him to live His righteous life through you. Are you daily living a life of righteousness?
Jesus is God’s unchangeable standard for man. Be like Him in everything including righteous living.

MEMORIZE: “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).
READ: Romans 8:31-33
There are different relational possibilities you can have by considering these phenomena: ‘Christ for you’ and ‘Christ with you’. Christ for you signifies divine approval or support. This has a tremendous implication because Romans 8:31 says, “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us who can be against us?” When Christ is for you, no curse placed on you will work. When Balak tried to make prophet Balaam to curse the children of Israel, he met with a brick wall. In Numbers 23:8, Balaam confessed that it was impossible to curse the one God has blessed. If a Christian is affected by a curse, it is doubtful whether he or she has God’s support. If God is for you, there is no need to spend sleepless nights over enemies. Whenever I am faced with opposition, I turn to God to ask if I have His backing for what I am doing. As soon as He assures me that He is for me, I joyfully continue whatever I am doing. If God is for you, the whole world may be against you, yet you have nothing to worry about.
James 4:8 says to get God’s support; you must learn to draw closer to God. If your service to God is just lip service, you may never have His support. You must engage your heart in God’s service. In addition, when offering your services to God, do not think or say that you are serving a particular Church, or the General overseer of the Church. No Church or GO. can adequately compensate you. Also, do not claim to be serving God because He needs you, because He has billions of people who would serve Him if you do not. You are only serving God for your own sake. How are you serving God today? You will easily know those who have misconstrued their purpose of service. If you are easily discouraged by men, location, lack of provision and challenges in the face of an assignment, it shows you do not yet know why you are serving. If you truly understand that serving God is only an opportunity to help you access God’s blessings on earth, and live with Him eternally, there is nothing anyone will do that will stop you. It was with this understanding that Paul asked: ‘What shall separate us from God’s love?’ Nothing except you.
Father, because you are for me, reverse every curse placed against me and my family.

MEMORIZE: “Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised” (Pro. 31:30)
READ: John 10:11-16
Christ ‘for’ you talks about the kind of relationship you have with Him that makes Him want to defend you. Christ ‘with’ you talks of the kind of relationship that makes Him ever present with you. For every child of God, you need both of them. May Christ be for and with you this season in Jesus name.
Another relationship with the Lord can be inferred from Christ ‘before’ you. This speaks of divine guidance. Psalm 23:1-6 paints a beautiful picture of Christ before you. When the Lord is before you, He takes a lead. He steps and you follow. With Christ before you, it becomes difficult for you to miss the path of righteousness or to make any mistake. Romans 8:14 says the ability to receive divine direction marks you out as a child of God, not according to your title or position in the ecclesiastical hierarchy. If Christ is not stepping ahead of you, then you have nowhere to go. Taking steps ahead of God means courting serious trouble. If you find it difficult to receive and follow the leading of the Lord in your day to day activities, your claim to being a child of God needs to be re-examined.
Speaking of spiritual direction, there is need to be extremely careful. Many who claimed to have been led of God eventually discovered that they were led by something else. “Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but am woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised” (Proverbs 31:30). Some people are led by materialism. The moment you give them a gift a couple of times, they will begin to think you are the one they have been waiting for. There are some brothers who are stingy but because they want to get a particular sister, they will shower them with expensive gifts. She will discover how ‘benevolent’ he is after the wedding! If you are guided by materialism, you will miss the mark. On the other hand, some others are misguided by beauty. Men who married their wives because she was very beautiful may later realize that they have married a witch. Realizing the mistake hardly helps their plight because they are already stuck. Some ladies were attracted by the wealth of their husbands only to later realize he is impotent, a chronic womanizer or a drunkard. If you are wise, Christ must be before you. He must be given a free hand in the decisions of your life. What is leading you?
When guided by materialism, beauty or wealth, you operate under a blindfold. But when guided by the Lord, you see clearly.

MEMORIZE: “And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;” (Rev. 2:18).
READ: Revelation 2:18-19
When God speaks to you, it is necessary to ascertain His mood. It will help to drive home some lessons you may not readily pick from His Word. God, like us, is an emotional Being. He can be happy, sad or sorrowful. He can laugh and make merry. Depending on His mood, His voice could be pleasant, reassuring or harsh and angry. Watch out for the tone of the voice you hear! His mood also dictates His visage. For instance, when He is very happy, His eyes are full of love and can be compared to shimmering pools of water. However, when He is very angry, His eyes are like flaming fire and His feet as fiery brass. If you can sense God’s mood by His tone, you will know whether He is happy with you or not, and you will know how to respond. Separating God’s voice from His mood, may rob you of a very important non-verbal means of communication.
In spite of His angry disposition in Revelation 2:18-29, the Lord could still correctly assess the state of the church in Thyatira and commend them for several things they did well. He mentioned them one by one: good works, love, service, faith, patience and the fact that their latter were more than the former. Unfortunately, many church leaders today are quite unlike the Lord they claim to be following. In your moment of anger, do you still remember the good things you saw in your spouse or in that worker, minister or subordinate? Can you still praise that erring worker or subordinate when you are very cross with him or her? Leaders are expected to be like the Lord Jesus Christ. This attribute of the Lord reminds us that He is ever in control of His emotions. He is not subjective. He is objective, and yet with a powerful stint of mercy. Also, this scripture reminds us that He will never forget our good works—both seen and unseen. Are you like the Lord? Ask for the grace to be like Him today!
Whenever you hear God’s voice, carefully study His mood to know how, when and why you should respond.

MEMORIZE: “My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,” (Gal. 4:19).
READ: 1 John 3:8-10
“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:” (Col. 1:27).
The person in you has great effect on your performance. Whether your potentials will be realized or not, depends to a large extent on who is in you. If Christ is in you, it means the Anointed One is in you. It also means the Baptizer in the Holy Spirit, the fire generator is in you. With the presence of Christ in you, there is great power inside you. 1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world”. Although the greater One: the Lord Jesus Christ is the Almighty God, yet, inside some of His children, He is only a little seed which has no impact on them. If after receiving Christ, you refused to grow in His grace, He will remain a seed in you. As long as Jesus is not growing in you, He is limited in your life. In that limited state, your external enemies would appear bigger and in control. To take charge of your situation, you must daily make efforts to grow in the grace of Jesus Christ. Grow in His Word. Fill yourself with the Scriptures. Regularly attract His presence and be a carrier of it.
If those around you find it difficult to identify you as a Christian, it simply means the Jesus in you is still in His infancy. If Christ, the Anointed One, is the one inside you, He will surely manifest. You cannot hide the anointing. It will surely speak. Many believers are yet to exploit the possibilities of blessings inherent in Jesus Christ. Are you in that situation today? Wake up! It is time to grow the One inside you so as to take charge of the one outside. It took a young David carrying the Lord of Hosts on the inside of him to defeat the Goliath outside. Until Christ is fully formed in you, you may not see Him manifesting in His glory. His goodness and grace may remain a mystery. When He is fully formed in you, however, He will radiate through you and bring everything else under control. Is Christ formed in you?
Christ needs to take His rightful place inside you in order for Satan and his cohorts to accept their place under your feet. Make maximum room for Him in your life

MEMORIZE: “And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.” (2 Cor. 12 :15).
READ: 2 Corinthians 12 :13-16
“HE that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled” (John 3:29).
According to John the Baptist, it is possible to be a friend of the Bridegroom—Jesus Christ. How? By loving and keeping His commandments (John 14 :15). It is not enough to love and obey Him occasionally, that love and obedience must be sustained. If your love for Jesus has dwindled or your obedience is now selective, it is doubtful if you are a friend of the Bridegroom. In John 15 :14 , the Lord Himself said His friends are those who wait on His Word, live by His Word and leave nothing out. If there is an instruction the Lord gave to you which you have failed to obey, it puts your friendship at risk. Can the Lord look at you and call you His friend?
According to the experience of John the Baptist, the friend of the bridegroom stands by him and hears him. Your first duty as a friend of Jesus is to stand by Him. At a most crucial moment of His life, the Lord Jesus Christ took members of His inner circle of friends, Peter, James and John, to the garden of Gethsemane and told them to watch with Him –that is to stand by Him (Matt. 26 :36-40). How can you stand by Him today? In 2 Corinthians 12 :15 , Paul says, “And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved”. From the above scripture, Paul was prepared to sacrifice all he had for the good of the Corinthian church. He was ready to give all He had, not expecting a commensurate level of return. Many a time, we would offer to help those who fail to do so. To stand by the Lord today entails standing by His children—our fellow brethren. It means giving all it takes to make them what God wants them to be. If a brother loses a loved one but has no money to conduct the burial, the others should rally around him, raise the money and cover his nakedness. If a brother gets into trouble—maybe he is arrested, and appears helpless, it is the duty of the other brethren around him to secure his bail through the help of a lawyer. What you do for your brethren is done for the Lord. Have you seen your brother in some need? Did you hide yourself from him? From today, stand by the Lord and the brethren!
ACTION POINT: Your ability to stand by Christ is determined by how much you stand by fellow believers in times of need or distress. Ask for the grace to stand by Christ always.

MEMORIZE: “Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise ;)” (Eph. 6:2).
READ: Ephesians 6 :1-3
A wise person can be identified by his or her attitude to correction. Another way of identifying the wise is by discerning his ability to give joy to his or her parents. Proverbs 10 :1 says, “ The Proverbs of Solomon: A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother”. Your ability to always make your father happy makes you a wise child. One exemplary case here is our Lord Jesus Christ. He was a joy to be with at all times. According to Luke 2 :40-52 , He was missing from the company of His parents one day and they were plunged into sorrow. “And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart” (Luke 2:51). As a twelve-year- old, Jesus was totally obedient to His parents. A child that completely submits to his or her parents, and obeys them, that will make them happy. Do you give your biological parents joy? To what extent do you submit to them? Or do you disrespect them because you are now in a boarding school or university? Today’s reading commands you to obey and honour your earthly parents. As an adult, have you forsaking your aging parents? If you are a wise child, you would care for them until they depart from this world. If Jesus were to meet with your parents today, can they say you have given them joy?
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right” (Eph. 6 :1). Besides giving joy to his or her biological parents, a wise person will also give joy to his or her spiritual parents- especially God. Again, the Lord Jesus Christ is our example here. He pleased God to a point that God twice audibly testified that he was well pleased with Him. Is God pleased with you? Do you make His work and will as important as your daily meal? (John 4 :34). What of your church leaders? Do you give them joy in the way you relate with them? Or, are you making them regret having you as a spiritual child? It is only a wise child that would love, respect, intercede for, and obey his or her spiritual parents. Some blessings are channeled to you through your parents; it is when you give them joy that they will agree with Heaven for them to be release to you. What are you doing to give joy to your parents?
ACTION POINT: Respect and honour spiritual and biological parents always.
