Good day people!
As a follow-up to my interview with Ahmad Mukoshy in 2009, I had another conversation with him recently, bothering on the latest development in his company – Gigalayer.
In 2009, you told us that timely insufficient internet connection was a big challenge. Have you been able to solve this challenge?
Yes, internet is now readily available and even on high-speed with HSDPA+ in town and likes of it across the nation. The telecoms have delivered 3G network everywhere, however the next challenge now is affordability of it. The cost is just something else!
Recently, you changed your company name and brand from AimTech to GigaLayer? Can you explain why you take this big move?
Well there was a lot of back-and-forth before the change was effected. But the good thing is that Aimtech still remains and we basically changed our domain and branding. It is still the same company and same people except bigger and better.
The main cause of the change could be easy to remember and access without hassles. Then the feasibility of the name to grow world-wide. Prior to that, I tried all I could to get us aimtech.com, which was abortive, so I concluded on a switch.
I also consulted a number of my mentors prior to the switch, almost all of them were OK with GigaLayer and also the fact that the business name is only a small slice in the success pie, so we have to make it sell, that’s what matters the most.
Right now, we are continuously growing and improving our offering.
