Sermon Summary by Pastor E.A. Adeboye – RCCG Feb 2019 Special Divine Encounter (Day 3)

Special Divine Encounter (Day 3)

Bible Text: Daniel 6:1-5

1) Humanly speaking when you are comparing things, we always talk about good, better and best. God has something better than best, it is excellence.
Daniel had an excellent Spirit upon him.
Genesis 41:38-44
Acts 5:14-16
To be excellent requires special favour from the Most High God.

2) After they threw Daniel to the den of lions, the king returned to the palace and began to fast and pray. The King interceded for Daniel.
Esther 4:15-16
No matter how great you are, you need somebody to intercede for you.
Acts 12:5-11
Luke 22:31-32
Everybody needs someone to pray for him or her.
Don’t rely on human beings to pray for you.

3) The king asked Daniel if his God was sufficient and Daniel replied by saying his God is more than sufficient.
Genesis 17:1
1 Samuel 17:38-51

4) Those that were supposed to eat up Daniel were not killed, they were merely neutralized.
Exodus 14:21-28

5) After Daniel’s enemies were thrown into the lion’s den, the king went ahead and promoted him, and this time around, his promotion was permanent.
Deuteronomy 28:1-30
Genesis 50:15-21

In conclusion, the enemies of Daniel said you cannot separate him and his God.
Let your commitment to God be absolute.
If you stand up for God, God will stand up for you.
