New Glory Devotional: CONFUSED? – Monday, October 22, 2012

By Pastor Ayodeji Agbelusi

Memorise: “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” (Isaiah 30:21).

Read: James 1: 19-22

If there’s anytime in life that you need to be very careful, it’s when you have to take a decision between two options. Weighing options between two or more opinions is not an easy task. A natural man will play 50-50 when confronted with the options of life. I remember the case some years ago of separating siamese twins. The doctors, after several tests announced to them, “this operation is either for life or death”. The so-called natural experts could not ascertain the survival of the twins. They eventually died in the process.

Danger looms when you are hasty in taking decisions in the midst of several options. If you are not very careful, you may expose your destiny, business, marriage plans and even your life to a high risk that can either make or mar your stay on earth! God said through Prophet Isaiah:

“Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.” (Isaiah 28:16).

Your decision to do or not to do, will form the foundation of your journey in life. Where you find yourself now is the result of your decisions in recent past. It’s very easy at times to say either “YES” or “NO” especially when confronted with the issues of life. These simple answers can either multiply your gain or increase your pain on the earth. You need to be very careful.

There are two voices controlling the destiny of a man on the earth. You either listen to God for prosperity and success or you heed the voice of the devil for eternal sorrow and regret. If you heed Godly suggestion, good for you but if through lust and impatience you are enticed to listen to demonic counsel your results will announce your pains.

For a user of this devotional, the Lord has a word for your total deliverance and prosperity. You only need a hearing ear to capture what God has to say about your destiny and seeing eyes to behold the way charted for your out of your confused state. If you won’t get God’s counsel over this issue of your life, you may miss it eternally. If God is not allowed in, the devil will take over. One of the moments you must not joke with is a time like this when you are confused with options in life.

“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” (James 1:4-5).

You need to trust the word of God and His divine wisdom if you don’t want to run into error and run in vain.
The voice of the Lord is your best and only choice. If you are a true son, your father should have the final say in decisions concerning your life. Pains and regrets are the rewards of bastards. You can’t ignore Godly counsel and direction and not return with shame and reproach. The calamity of several young men and women today was their decision to ignore God and do it their own way.

Are you confused? Seek Godly counsel, get what God has to say to you in His word. Are you about taking a step in destiny? Wait and ask the Lord. Listen to this:

“And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” (Isaiah 30:21).

Your decision must align with the word of God if you want to be successful and prosperous in life and ministry. You can’t afford to stay with a sinner in a relationship and expect a glorious marriage. You’re only fooling yourself. When you are wrong you are wrong. If your steps in life aren’t right stop the journey and redirect them. If your decision is outside of God’s counsel drop it. Don’t allow the enemy of your soul to waste your years on earth.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jeremiah 29:11).

God is thinking about you. Don’t live in that confused state. Start a relationship with God to get His thoughts & will concerning your moves. Don’t jump into conclusion with that business partner of yours. Many landed in jail because of fraudulent transactions. You will not destroy your future through evil counsel and impatience in Jesus mighty name.

Father Lord, please speak to me. I’m ready to hear what You have for me in the midst of all these. I reject confusion in Jesus mighty name.
