New Glory Devotional: REHOBOTH – Thursday, October 18, 2012

By Pastor Ayo Agbelusi

Memorise: “And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.” (Genesis 26:22).

Read: Genesis 26: 1-22

Your destiny is not in the hands of any man. No king, no prince or government can overrule what God has spoken concerning your life, family and future. It doesn’t matter your current financial or economic state. The situation of your country notwithstanding, the counsel of the Lord for your life shall stand forever.
“In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.” (Job 5:20).

Beloved, your Redeemer lives and He’s able to create rooms for you to flourish endlessly on the earth. It’s not over.

…and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.” (Genesis 26:22).

The Lord is able to make all grace abound towards you. You may be facing several challenges today. It’s possible you are facing several frustrations here and there. I want you to rejoice because those seasons will soon be gone. Your enemies will have no other choice than to give up. God is at work in your marriage. He’s working out miracles for you regarding your job search. Your rent will be paid because the Lord is making room for you to flourish and you shall smile again.

The Philistines strove endlessly with Isaac. While they were mocking him, God was busy making him. God is not silent over your case. He sees how burdened you are in the hand of your taskmasters. He will send you help.

“And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;” (Exodus 3:7).

Every strong man frustrating you in your marriage, on that job and in that business shall be put to shame in Jesus mighty name.

You must not give up. Stay committed on your job, be committed to your God. Isaac did not surrender to fate. He became stronger in the midst of the battle. You must not go back to your option B. God is still working in the miraculous. Don’t allow your enemies to see your tears. Be bold, be strong, for the Lord your God is with you. Say to that mountain, thou shall become plain. Prophesy to your dry bones and they shall be covered with flesh.

“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:” (Genesis 26:12-13). This scripture shall be your testimony. Where others are failing, you will be flourishing. When they are barely surviving, you will be triumphing through God. Rehoboth – the Lord will make room for your success, promotion, deliverance and abundant supply.

Father, please make room for me to flourish on the earth and put my enemies to open shame.
