Memorise: “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:9).
Read: Galatians 6:9-10
Goodness is one major fruit of the Spirit that you must possess as a true follower of Jesus Christ. You are either doing good or bad. Your role as a Christian in the lives of others is enormous and the earlier you wake up to this responsibility the better. Of what value is the blessing of God on your life if you cannot channel or use it to bless the nations of the world. God said unto Abraham: “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:” (Genesis 12:2).
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” (Acts 10:38).
Beloved, we have so much to learn from our Saviour Jesus Christ. He was generally good to humanity. Aside from the fact that He’s God, He took it upon Himself to lend a helping hand in reviving lives throughout His ministerial life.
You can’t enjoy the true blessings of God if you are not ready to share it with others. A river becomes fresher, cleaner, clearer and better as it flows. A river that is stagnant will end up stinking and useless to all (Don’t forget the dead sea). You have every reason to complain about how you labour to attain Greatness and how painful it is to share. But I can tell you categorically that there will never be any fruitful labour without the unique touch of God’s favour. There’s no greatness or blessing outside God. If you have good virtues today, God intended that such virtues will be used towards the betterment of humanity, the generations of the world and most especially your fellow believer.
“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:10).
If there’s anything that will qualify you for higher heights in Kingdom prosperity, it’s your readiness to share and to bless. Don’t hoard the blessing of God to yourself alone. Are you so blessed and your immediate neighbour suffers in pain, hunger, and reproach? Beloved this shouldn’t be said of you as a child of God. The gifts in your life are from God. Those abilities you now brag about were mere former potentials presently enabled by God for profitability and Kingdom growth. Moreover, God reserves the right to withdraw those gifts/blessings from those who fail to use it as He intended.
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:9). Don’t get tired especially when it appears that your little efforts are not appreciated. God is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him – Heb.11:6. Activate your potentials and then go out there to bless your world.
Are you rich? sponsor the poor, support the fatherless, care for the widows and help the less privileged. Are you so gifted and multi-talented, make those gifts channels to salvation through God and not a medium of pollution through lust. Don’t get discouraged when your good works are not appreciated. It’s God alone that can say “well done”. He knows your heart and can say truly if you are doing it as a sacrifice or for self glorification.
If you are a blessing physically and spiritually, you will know and God will reward you accordingly. Be good to all!
