New Glory Devotional: YES I CAN – Tuesday, October 9, 2012

By Pastor Ayo Agbelusi

Memorise: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13).

Read: Numbers 13: 30-31

It is the presence of God in a man’s life that promotes him from the natural to the supernatural.

“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:14).

Without divine help, the mortal man is feeble and extremely vulnerable. You can only get the best of God when your life is solely dependent on Him and Him alone. Without God, victory as far as life is concerned will be a mere daydream.

Your glorious future is not a subject for debate. God has a good plan for you and has promised to give you an expected end. Jer.29:11. For the children of Israel, possessing canaan was a settled issue. God will not lie nor repent of His word. What He has spoken concerning you, your family, business and career will doubtless come to pass in Jesus mighty name.

These promises however, can be hindered. Your confessions can rob you of your God-ordained possessions. If you cannot confess it, you have no access to possess it. You must agree that salvation comes through grace only when you wilfully and genuinely confess Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. So with your promised land, your future is only possible when you truly believe God for His word and you proclaim it without wavering. This is not an attempt at rhyme at all neither is it a cliché, your confession will affect your possession, whether positively or otherwise. That’s why faith is always required at every stage of your life. If you can’t believe it, you can’t receive it. You can only confess what you believe.

Four years of waiting on the Lord for the fruit of the womb is not enough reason for you to agree with the devil that you are barren. You must not confess failure when God has designed you for success. As a lady, why are you joining the world in believing that all men are the same! Your experience notwithstanding, God is more than able to lead a faithful brother to you! Your God can never be too late or too early, He’s always on point. Don’t join myopic folks to confess that there are no jobs for graduates. If God could prosper Isaac during the days of famine in Gen.26, He will surely come through for you if you truly believe. Don’t give in to fear or evil report. Disallow every negative word and advice that comes contrary to God’s operations in your destiny. What you don’t resist with faith and holy anger has every right to remain! If you entertain negative advice and indulge in negative confession, that’s your choice. Evil reports will not rob you of your divine possessions in Jesus name.

“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.” (Numbers 13:30).

Stand up at once and say to yourself: Yes I can. I am well able to get this task done. I cannot be intimidated.

Intimidation is the foundation of frustration and limitation of a man. You don’t need to feel inferior before any man. Greater is He that is in you compared to him that is in the world. You carry God, so, all doors must open to you of their own accord. You have divine backing already! Move on with a positive attitude, faith and positive confession. Go and possess your portion in the miraculous. I tell you beloved, you are well able to dispossess your enemies sitting on your rights, promotion, joy and breakthrough. Go and be victorious. Say unto yourself: Yes! I can do all things through Christ.

I receive grace to think in line with your word and to possess my portion through positive confession.
