New Glory Devotional: PREACH THE WORD – Sunday, September 30, 2012

By Pastor Ayo Agbelusi

Memorise: “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

Read: Mark 16:15-20

The ministry of Jesus Christ was gracefully handed over to every believer and the assignment was clearly stated: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. ” (Mark 16:15). That’s the assignment and it the purpose of God for every born again child of God on the earth!

“To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:19).

The call is unto reconciliation not judgement and condemnation of the world. Beloved, you are not the judge of the earth. Your are an evangelist in this world. “Go Ye”. God is not interested in death of any man. He wants all to be saved and that they should come to the knowledge of the truth. 1Tim.2:3.

What are you doing about the lost souls in your family, on your street, place of work and in your city? You are not called to dress nice and cute every sunday for worship only. You are saved to save others. Some workers in the present day churches are mere Sunday Stars. After the service of Sundays, their assignment is over. Without the Microphone or good musical instruments they can’t perform their heavenly tasks. Beloved, that’s not how it should be. Can you boldly say you have at least a soul going to heaven through you? What are you doing with the grace that you have received? Are you preaching salvation or busy condemning the sinners on your street? Remember, you were once in that dirty state until Christ showed forth for your deliverance.

This message is a clarion call. Make up your mind to be involve in what interest God most. People are trooping daily into hell due to sinfulness and deceit of the devil. You can deliver them through the words of Christ of your lips. There are Gospel tracts all over the place for you to distribute. You can also support the missionaries on the field with your money, materials (cloths, etc) or go in person. What about prison and hospital ministry? Jesus Christ said: “I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. ” (Matthew 25:43). The purpose of God’s blessings in your life is to bless and deliver the world. What are you doing for the kingdom my sister? What is your assignment on the earth my brother.

“And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.” (Mark 16:20).

This is the time the gospel is most needed. Now is the acceptable time. Souls are perishing but my people are merely living in merriment. Apostle Paul encouraged Timothy: “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” (2 Timothy 4:2). Make up your mind today. Be a part of this end time army and the grace for signs and wonders shall follow you.

Your ministry is either reconciliation or condemnation. Where do you stand?
