New Glory Devotional: DON’T RUN IN VAIN – Friday, September 28, 2012

By Pastor Ayo Agbelusi

Memorise: “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11a).

Read: Psalms 40:1-3

One of the greatest evil befalling man in this last days is his inability to be patient with God. The race of life is never for the impatient if it will be to a reasonable end. Many marriages and homes are in big mess today because the timing of God was rejected for the dictates of the flesh and lusts of the eyes.

David said: “I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.” (Psalm 40:1-2).

You cannot put God on the run! He knows the right time for the delivery of your miracles. Only be patient! To a reader of this devotional, the only warning God has for you is ‘WAIT’. People who refuse to wait on God will end up as waste on the earth. Many lives have been wasted on the road to destiny due to impatience. Many women are seeking divorce in their various homes today because they couldn’t wait for divine time and God chosen partners. God knows your frame and He has timed your miracle. The best you can offer is to allow Him direct your plans. Don’t give God time rather submit to God’s timing. Don’t negotiate, this is not a joke.

A sister called in for counselling early this year on marital issues. While discussing with her, the Lord asked me to encourage her to be patient but she wouldn’t listen. All she wanted was marriage at all cost. Before June ending, she has been deceived by three guys.

The best test of quality is time. Give that love time and see how true it is. We have been with God all these years and it’s evident that He can never fail. James 1:4 says: “But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting. May you not run in vain in Jesus mighty name.

Remember what God says unto you: “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31).

Patience qualifies you for greater height. As you trust God for testimony, ask for grace never to be weary, read more of His word and seek divine counselling. You will not miss your portion in life in Jesus name.

Father, give me grace to wait for Your timing for my life. I refuse to run in vain in destiny in Jesus mighty name.
