MY RESPONSE TO LIFE.
In November 2010, I achieved certification in Life Coaching and followed it with another in Anger Management on October 8th, 2011. After this, I became certified in Emotional Intelligence in March 2012.
Ever since, I have worked with, through and for well more than 5,000 individuals (and in groups).
My work in several cities of Nigeria including Lagos, Abuja, Jos, Uyo, Taraba, Kaduna, Sokoto, Kebbi, Kano, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Port Harcourt, Niger, just to mention a few, has groomed me to understand THE NIGERIAN VERSION to behaviours and conduct.
That is why when we resumed formal academy courses in March 2016, majority of our content and illustrations were LOCAL. We have created local materials for local applications.
BUT THERE WAS A CHALLENGE.
The Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, says the whistleblower policy of the Federal Government is one of the current administration’s successful initiatives.
She said this on Tuesday in Abuja at a seminar organised by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) on “The Whistleblower Policy and its Implication for Public Servants’’.
The Whistleblower Policy was introduced in December 2016 by the Federal Government as part of the initiatives to wage war against corruption.
According to Adeosun, as at July, over 5,000 reports have been made through various reporting channels, 365 actionable tips are received out of the 5000 reports.
She said that over half of the reports came from public servants.
The minister said the tips related to issues of contract inflation, ghost workers, illegal recruitment and misappropriation of funds.
Others according to her, include illegal sale of government assets, diversion of revenues and violation of Treasury Single Account (TSA) regulations.
The minister also said that the information received showed that certain types of tips were recurring. Read more

…This is a historic moment for Lagos, Kebbi, says Lagos Gov
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode and his Kebbi State counterpart, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu on Wednesday launched the much anticipated Lagos-Kebbi Rice christened LAKE RICE, saying that the partnership which culminated into the launch was not only designed to ensure food security but showcase the ability of Nigeria to become a producing nation.
Speaking at the launching ceremony held at Lagos House in Ikeja, Governor Ambode said the development was a great and historic moment for both states and Nigeria, as the rice would not only be sold at highly reduced price, compared to what obtains in the market, but is also very fresh and safe for consumption.
“Today is an historic day for Lagos and Kebbi States. In March 2016, we signed an MOU with an understanding that we, being proudly Nigeria, we want to come out with what is made in Nigeria and what is good in Nigeria. We took all that President Muhammadu Buhari said that we need to grow our food and we decided that we will prove a point and that is what today is all about.
“LAKE RICE is of good quality. The major difference between LAKE RICE and the ones imported is that the imported has a minimum storage of five to six years storage life span, but LAKE RICE is fresh,” the Governor said. Read more

Bijou Abiola is a successful Fashion Buyer who is known for bringing the best of apparel to retail stores in the USA. She has worked directly with several top brands and designers such as Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren, Miss Selfridge and BCBG. On the 12th and 13th of November, Bijou Abiola will be at the GTBank Fashion Weekend to discuss the myths and facts behind stocking internationally and how indigenous brands can break into the global scene.
The GTBank Fashion Weekend may seem novel for a financial institution, but it is part of the bank’s long history of supporting the local fashion industry.
Guaranty Trust Bank plc, last week announced the debut of the GTBank Fashion Weekend, set to hold on the 12th and 13th of November 2016, at the GTCentre, Oniru, Victoria Island. With the bank being the first financial institution to pioneer such initiative, it is important to understand its motive for organizing such an event and necessary to know what guests will gain from attending.
Why is GTBank Organizing a Fashion Weekend?
Perhaps the short answer is: To promote enterprise in the SME sector of the Fashion industry. The not-so-short answer would begin with the fact that GTBank actually has an extensive footprint in fashion that goes back several years. The bank has sponsored two of the country’s leading fashion events, The Arise Fashion Week and The Lagos Fashion and Design Week, for a combined period of five years. The bank has also contributed significantly to raising the international profile of African fashion through collaborations including the Ndani Installation at Selfridges and the “Double Club” Collaboration with PRADA.
The GTBank Fashion Weekend is thus an extension of the bank’s long tradition of supporting the local fashion industry and African fashion in general. However Read more

As the world advances and gradually diffuses into a virtually real word, teenagers need to be informed about this reality, carried along and trained to become major stakeholders in the making of the emerging virtual world. It is our candid belief that teenagers in this part of the world should not just be consumers, but also makers and drivers of the trend. In this wise, the workshop will therefore engage intensive training in the dynamics of digitalization which will be interactive in orientation.
To raise a generation of teenagers that will be pioneers of digital revolution in Africa and position Africa as a major stakeholder in the digital age.
